Sandy Hook Handyman pitches itself for the small-jobs list: its own site offers to plan a half day to fix a loose toilet flush handle, quiet a squeaking hinge, dust the tops of ceiling fans and change HVAC filters.

One recent Google customer said Nick has completed numerous projects in their new home over the past year, including replacing doors and frames, rebuilding a dryer vent system, roof and gutter repairs, faucet and toilet replacement, bathroom exhaust fans and light fixtures, drywall and ceiling repairs, and redesigning a fence for easier backyard access. That customer wrote that he sticks to his original estimate without adding unexpected charges, that his background as an inspector helped them prioritize safety issues, and that he is local to the Bethel/Newtown area.

A recent customer who needed an old plastic dryer vent replaced said Nick was at the condo the entire day, mostly in the attic, and no sheetrock cutting was required. That customer later had him replace a bathroom faucet and drain and a kitchen drain, fix the flushing mechanism on a toilet and cut two pre-fabricated laminate countertops, and said he was able to provide a certificate of insurance.
