## The honest read

SavATree describes its residential work as tree, shrub and lawn care, and its website names service towns from Old Saybrook and Branford to Groton and Griswold. On Google it holds 4.9 stars from 118 ratings.

A recent customer who needed a cherry tree thinned and trimmed said Andy out of Old Saybrook did the job, cleaned up the mess and left a shaped tree. That customer said the other estimates were double or even triple his price, and that those companies tried to upsell. A recent reviewer said Andy Harazim and his crew completed a two-day tree removal project, and that the property looked spotless when the crew left. A recent customer wrote that the crew pruned a dogwood and shrubs around the house. A recent customer said the seasonal treatment plan is spelled out and that the company notifies in advance when it is coming.

In a 2025 review, a customer said Andy came out less than 24 hours after the call, assessed about 50 trees near the house and quoted $1300 for two trees he explained were risks. A 2025 customer said three trees were removed by climbing them because a bucket truck couldn't be used.

A 2025 customer said big parts of the yard were dead after a fertilizer application and called the service very expensive; that customer said the company offered a free application, but that the damage was beyond it. A 2026 customer called the work a little pricey but said its quality made that acceptable. In a 2015 Angi review, a customer said billing could be confusing and that the annual plan always included aeration, which that customer called expensive and not always needed. Its BBB page shows a B+ grade and 16 complaints.

**Strengths:**
- Tree removal cleanup — recent customer said the property looked spotless afterward
- A lower estimate — recent customer said other estimates were double or triple
- A spelled-out plan — recent customer said the seasonal treatment plan is spelled out

**Concerns:**
- Lawn treatment results — a 2025 customer reported dead yard patches after fertilizer
- Higher pricing — a 2026 customer called the work a little pricey
- Billing clarity — a 2015 Angi customer said billing could be confusing
