Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration is active on the state registry. One recent customer hired SFB for an addition that expanded the kitchen and added a bathroom and laundry, and said Brandon and Paul, the foreman, kept them informed from start to finish. A recent customer had a stud-to-finish remodel of one bathroom plus upgrades to a changing room and a bedroom. A customer selling a house said Brandon and his team repaired clapboards on the exterior and replaced old crawl-space insulation with new foam insulation at very short notice, with a subcontractor doing the foam. A customer whose front door broke and shifted in a winter emergency said SFB sent an employee who repaired it immediately. A customer had a porch rebuilt and said Brandon laid out design, material and build options and cited Building Code requirements behind them. A customer said SFB repaired woodpecker damage on the exterior and repainted the entire house. A customer who renovated a family home said that when something was not quite right, Brandon was quick to respond and fix it. A customer said the final invoice was considerably less than the initial quote. One recent customer said they had to wait a bit to have some of the work done. In a 2025 review, a customer said a total house renovation was completed on time and within budget. In a 2023 review, a customer said SFB had renovated and maintained their farmhouse for close to 30 years, including slate roof maintenance and repairs after frozen pipes. **Strengths:** - A kitchen addition — a recent customer said the foreman kept them informed - A porch rebuild — a recent customer said Brandon cited Building Code requirements - A winter door repair — a recent customer said an employee fixed it immediately **Concerns:** - A wait for work — a recent customer waited a bit for some work ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration 195659 is active on the state registry _(confidence: high)_ - [State License Registry](https://contractorhub.mass.gov/s/hic-contractor-search) — “MA hic license 195659 registry-verified active — registry holder of record: SFB Construction LLC” - 5 stars from 111 Google ratings _(confidence: high)_ - [Google](https://www.google.com/maps/search/?api=1&query=SFB%20Construction%20LLC&query_place_id=ChIJY9qBfW-64IkROHfPTzHlHBw) — “Google: 5★ from 111 ratings” - Built an addition that expanded the kitchen and added a bathroom and laundry _(confidence: high)_ - [Google Reviews](https://www.google.com/maps/reviews/data=!4m8!14m7!1m6!2m5!1sCi9DQUlRQUNvZENodHljRjlvT2tKSGRHRmpiMGM0YzBSTmRrZHBVazVwV0VGSWFYYxAB!2m1!1s0x0:0x1c1ce5314fcf7738!3m1!1s2@1:CAIQACodChtycF9oOkJHdGFjb0c4c0RNdkdpUk5pWEFIaXc%7C%7C?hl=en-US) — “5★ We hired SFB Construction to do an addition to our house.
