Its website says it has over 10 years of experience in residential and commercial painting, offers free estimates and is insured. Quick quotes and quick finishes are what customers write about. One 2026 customer says Shani came the same day for a quote and the crew painted all 3 bedrooms, hallways, kitchen and living room in one day at the quoted price. Another says the crew did a seven day job in five days, and a third had all trim and multiple rooms done in 3 days. A June 2026 reviewer describes crews of 2 or 3 painters over 3 days, all painted surfaces getting two coats, and a couple of minor issues from the final inspection addressed within 48 hrs. Other customers describe a condo with the old popcorn ceiling scraped off and skim coated, an exterior job with power-washing and repairs, and an in-house carpenter repairing extensive wood rot. A July 2026 Angi reviewer says the staining on their exterior siding was not applied properly, which caused flashing and different shades, and that the company will not return a 50% deposit of $5900. **Strengths:** - Fast interior jobs — one customer's whole interior painted in one day - Quick quotes — customers describe same-day or next-day estimate visits - Exterior prep — power-washing, repairs and wood-rot carpentry before painting **Concerns:** - Stain job dispute — a 2026 reviewer reports uneven siding stain and an unreturned $5900 deposit ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - Connecticut home improvement contractor license HIC.0665649, registry-verified active. _(confidence: high)_ - [State License Registry](https://www.elicense.ct.gov/Lookup/LicenseLookup.aspx) — “CT hic license HIC.0665649 registry-verified active — registry holder of record: SHANI PAINTING” - 5 stars from 265 Google ratings, 5.0 stars from 211 Thumbtack ratings, 4.3 stars from 9 ratings each on Angi and HomeAdvisor. _(confidence: high)_ - [Google](https://www.google.com/maps/search/?api=1&query=SHANI%20PAINTING&query_place_id=ChIJO73iPX3J54kR8PcuxCPLoHg) — “Google: 5★ from 265 ratings” - [Angi](https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/ct/cheshire/shani-painting-reviews-10304806.htm) — “Angi: 4.3★ from 9 ratings” - [HomeAdvisor](https://www.homeadvisor.com/rated.shanipainting.157671499.html) — “HomeAdvisor: 4.3★ from 9 ratings” - [Thumbtack](https://www.thumbtack.com/ct/cheshire/interior-painting/shani-painting/service/444663604354687002?spotlightWebMarkupEnabled=1) — “Thumbtack: 5.0★ from 211 ratings” - Customers describe quick quotes and interior jobs finished in one to a few days. _(confidence: high)_ - [Google Reviews](https://www.google.com/maps/reviews/data=!4m8!14m7!1m6!2m5!1sCi9DQUlRQUNvZENodHljRjlvT25GWk4wbElSVVU0ZUROVlprbDNTSEYzY2tsaVFWRRAB!2m1!1s0x0:0x78a0cb23c42ef7f0!3m1!1s2@1:CAIQACodChtycF9oOnFZN0lIRUU4eDNVZkl3SHF3ckliQVE%7C%7C?hl=en-US) — “5★ My house badly neeeded interior paint for all 3 bedrooms, hallways, kitchen, trims, walls, and living room.
