## The honest read

Sherlock Holmes Cleaning Services is a Hyannis outfit that Cape Cod homeowners call for the job that's more than a quick tidy-up — a post-renovation deep clean, a hazmat-level unit left by a departing tenant, a set of windows that hasn't been touched in years. The name that comes up again and again is Rafael, alongside Pedro and office lead Bruna, who reviewers credit with fast, transparent scheduling.

The volume behind that reputation is substantial: 203 reviews on file from 2022 to 2026 across four platforms, a 4.9-star Google average from 224 ratings, and a BBB A+ grade with accreditation since May 2025. Reviewers describe the crew tackling jobs other cleaners couldn't finish — a roughly 1,000-square-foot unit left in what one customer called a "borderline hazmat zone" after a tenant moved out, and blood tracked through two rooms of carpet after a dog's nail-clipping mishap, where "every spot just disappeared." The service list runs wide: window washing inside and out, wall-to-wall carpets, upholstery and sectionals, moss and mildew removal from siding and decks, and power washing. A number of reviewers describe using the company repeatedly over months or years rather than for a single job.

That said, three recent reviews describe real misses. One customer scheduled an appointment that the crew simply didn't show up for, and after a 30-minute wait was told on the phone it could be another 30 to 60 minutes. Another asked specifically that walls be cleaned ahead of a repaint and pointed out particular areas during the consultation that weren't addressed as requested. And in a September 2025 review, a customer who'd been told to expect a deep clean described getting a lighter once-over with no visible equipment or furniture polish used, and reported a bathroom spout broken after the crew left.

Before booking a larger or more specialized job — a full deep clean, wall washing ahead of painting, anything time-sensitive — it's worth confirming in writing exactly what's included and locking down the arrival window.

For the routine carpet, upholstery, or window job, this is a company Cape Cod homeowners keep calling back, with named technicians customers ask for by name; for anything unusual or tightly scheduled, the recent misses above are worth raising directly.

**Strengths:**
- Wide service range — windows, carpets, upholstery, power washing all covered
- Named technicians — Rafael, Pedro and Bruna praised across many reviews
- Handles tough jobs — hazmat-level cleanouts and stubborn stains resolved
- Repeat customers — several return for cleanings over months or years

**Concerns:**
- No-show appointment — crew missed a booked time, unclear follow-up window
- Wall-cleaning miss — requested areas skipped ahead of a repaint
- Deep clean shortfall — lighter cleaning delivered, fixture damage reported in 2025
