## The honest read

Shorehaven Landscape says it has been in business for 32 years, and its website lists hardscaping, landscape design installation, artificial turf and outdoor lighting among its services. The service area it names runs through North Branford, Branford, Clinton, Madison, Guilford, New Haven, East Haven and Northford.

One recent customer came to Shorehaven wanting a lawn regraded, an irrigation system and sod installed, a Belgium block lined driveway and some retaining walls, and went with the company. That customer named Bruce and his crew, Drew and Quinn, and wrote that they added to the scope during the project. A recent Branford customer, Mike G., wrote about the lawn care service. A recent customer singled out the field techs that cut and trim.

A 2026 customer said a hardscape patio came out with the boulders blending into the property, and praised the mulching and cleanups too. A 2026 customer said Jerson and crew removed two small trees and took care of a fall cleanup, and called them communicative and reasonably priced. A 2025 customer who had used Shorehaven for several years for mowing, trimming and leaf removal also wrote that they put in a drainage system that had been working well after the rain storms. A 2025 customer said Shorehaven mowed the lawn weekly, did spring and fall cleanup and had recently installed stone stairs from the driveway to the front patio.

A 2024 customer said the company replaced their driveways, walkway, plantings and front stairs and added a patio and fire pit to the backyard. A 2023 customer described a new construction landscape install by Bruce, James and team: a retaining wall along the driveway, topsoil and grading, a patio, irrigation and planting beds. A 2025 reviewer described Bruce as the owner and said he was right there, overseeing every aspect of every job. A 2025 customer wrote of using Shorehaven for over 30 years.

A 2023 customer who had a hill excavated to be lowered said there was minimal communication and the hill was not excavated fully at first. That customer said Shorehaven came back, and it was perfect that time.

**Strengths:**
- Large yard overhaul — a recent customer's job ran from regrading to retaining walls
- Patio with firepit — a 2025 customer described a patio with a built-in firepit
- Long-time lawn care — a 2025 customer wrote of over 30 years with Shorehaven
- A drainage system — a 2025 customer said it worked well after rain storms

**Concerns:**
- Excavation communication — a 2023 customer said communication was minimal on a hill job
