## The honest read

A 2024 customer said Cody and his team had the materials on hand ahead of time for a roof job, showed up on time the day of the work, and kept the area clean while protecting the house from falling debris. A 2024 HomeAdvisor reviewer wrote that Cody's team stripped the old roof off, got the job done quickly and cleaned up everything that fell in the yard.

Shoreline Renovations LLC has taken on more than roofs. A 2024 customer said Cody poured a new foundation for an addition that extended the kitchen and made the master bedroom longer. In a 2022 review, a customer said they had used Cody's plowing services for two seasons, and that after the biggest storm of that season he brought an assistant to shovel the walks. A 2020 customer said Cody painted a very large living and dining room space with a lot of crown moulding, at a price that was fair and exactly what they expected to pay.

The Better Business Bureau gives the company a D- grade and lists three complaints against it. A 2025 Google reviewer said Cody's subcontractors installed gutters that were not properly connected to the drainage system, and that after a snowstorm and heatwave the basement flooded, ruining new vinyl floors he had installed. That 2025 reviewer said the siding and gutters remained unfinished and that their mother-in-law had paid Cody $40,000 in cash. A 2026 HomeAdvisor reviewer praised Cody's roof work but accused him of stealing $9,600 from their parents after a referral, and said the parents had been unable to get the money back.

**Strengths:**
- Roof replacement — a 2024 reviewer said the old roof was stripped quickly
- Materials on hand — a 2024 customer said materials were ready ahead of time
- A home addition — a 2024 customer said Cody poured a new foundation
- Snow plowing — a 2022 customer used the plowing service two seasons

**Concerns:**
- BBB grade — D- with three complaints listed
- Unfinished exterior work — a 2025 customer said siding and gutters stayed unfinished
- Basement flooding — a 2025 customer said new basement floors were ruined
- A theft accusation — a 2026 reviewer accused Cody of stealing $9,600
