## The honest read

One customer worried that washing would damage the 230-year-old wooden clapboard on an antique house; after Shoreline Soft Washing cleaned it, that customer said there was no damage. The company describes its work as house washing, roof cleaning, soft washing, power washing and deck cleaning, and says it serves homeowners throughout Connecticut's shoreline communities.

A customer who has lived in the same house for more than 20 years said the gutters came out white, green algae on the front porch was gone, the vinyl siding showed no sign of damage, and the rose bushes were carefully covered. A customer who lives by the water said they were very careful about the percentage of bleach in their spray so as not to hurt the plants or nesting birds, and washed the Bilco doors and hot tub cover as a bonus. A customer who asked for a quote on a house, deck, shed and vinyl fence said they got a response within minutes and the entire job was completed the very same day. A customer had the house soft washed, then called them back for the roof and the solar panels.

A 2026 customer said they called one day and the company came the next day, and that the siding, gutters and cement foundation looked great afterward. A 2024 customer said Mike scheduled service within 2 days and made extra efforts on problem mold areas on old trex decking.

On Angi, a customer said the garage windows were not cleaned and none of the window screens were removed, and that they were told they would need to clean the remaining dust and residue themselves. That customer said the company had promised on the phone to bring its own water but asked to use the house's water on arrival, and that a job they were told would take approximately three hours was finished in about one hour, at a price higher than other quotes they received.

**Strengths:**
- Antique clapboard washed — a customer reported no damage to 230-year-old wood
- A same-day job — a customer said house, deck, shed and fence were done same day
- Care around plants — a customer said they were careful with bleach near plants and birds

**Concerns:**
- Incomplete window cleaning — a customer said garage windows were skipped, screens not removed
- Price versus quotes — a customer said the price ran higher than other quotes
