## The honest read

A refrigerator water line that leaked unnoticed is the kind of job Single Source Disaster Recovery Specialists takes on. The company says it has been in business 55 years and offers 24/7 emergency service, and it holds 4.8 stars from 90 Google ratings.

A recent customer whose refrigerator water line leaked described the job in stages: a first crew removed the affected flooring and wallboards, painted the subfloor with a mold-resistant paint and set up heavy-duty fans to dry everything out. That customer said project manager Justin P. guided them through the repair, the Single Source crew removed and replaced all of the cabinets and painted the walls, and a flooring subcontractor sanded, stained and coated the floors. The same customer said there were minor glitches along the way, and that if something didn't look right, they re-did it.

A recent customer with water damage in a condo from January's blizzard said everything went according to plan and they accommodated the customer's work schedule. A recent customer who works as a contractor said the roof was well done, with ice and water-shield, flashing and venting done properly, and that the final cost came in as estimated. A recent customer got 4 quotes before selecting Single Source and said Eric was very detailed with responses.

Local news sites have described school districts bringing the company in to clean up water damage and to eliminate mold. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, number 204225, is expired on the state registry.

**Strengths:**
- Staged leak repair — a recent customer said wet flooring was removed and dried
- A cost as estimated — a recent customer said the roof job had no surprises
- A plan followed — a recent customer said blizzard damage repairs went according to plan

**Concerns:**
- Expired MA registration — expired on the Massachusetts state registry
- Minor glitches — a recent customer said they re-did what didn't look right
