## The honest read

Driveway sealcoating is the job people call Sixth State Sealcoating & Striping for, and its Google page shows 5 stars from 36 ratings. The company's website lists a service area that includes Shrewsbury, Worcester, Marlborough, Westborough, Leominster and Framingham.

One recent customer, with a white foundation and a paver walkway beside the asphalt, said not a drop got on the foundation or the walkway. A customer who had sealant land on a walkway with people hired in the past said nothing got on any walkways or patios this time, and that the owner, Jeff, was out working the entire time. A customer whose driveway had been neglected for many years said they could not afford to repave the whole thing, so Jeff worked with them on a driveway that will last a while longer. A customer said Jeff came out to the site multiple times to evaluate the situation and discuss options. A repeat customer said this was their second time using the company in four years.

A 2025 customer said the sealcoat was applied by squeegee and the work was completed while they were away on vacation. A 2023 customer said they edged the driveway and did a detailed cleaning prior to sealcoating. A 2023 customer said Jeff recommended crack filling, which they needed. A 2023 customer said the driveway and the lines for guest parking were completed in a timely manner. A 2022 customer said the driveway had not been touched since 1962, and that Jeff walked them through the process and explained the products.

**Strengths:**
- No sealant on walkways — a recent customer said nothing got on walkways or patios
- Owner on site — a recent customer said Jeff worked the entire time
- Alternative to repaving — Jeff worked with a recent customer who could not repave
- Repeat hire — a recent customer used them twice in four years
