--- title: "Skill Pro Services Plumbing & Gas-Fitting" description: "Skill Pro Services is a one-man plumbing and gas-fitting shop in Billerica, run by Joe, described on the company's site as a third-generation plumber with " doc_version: "2026-08-19" last_updated: "2026-08-19" --- # Skill Pro Services Plumbing & Gas-Fitting **Trade:** Plumbing · **Address:** 460 Boston Road, Suite #6, Billerica, MA 01821 · **Phone:** (978) 707-5922 · **Website:** https://skillproservices.com · **Languages:** English **Rating: 3.8/5** (low confidence) — from 0 reviews across 4 sources. ## The honest read Skill Pro Services is a one-man plumbing and gas-fitting shop in Billerica, run by Joe, described on the company's site as a third-generation plumber with more than 40 years in the trade who takes calls directly, with no dispatchers or answering services. His Massachusetts master plumber and gas-fitter license (#11482) is active and registry-verified. In 2025, both a Nextdoor neighbor and a Reddit thread for r/LowellMA pointed people needing a plumber straight to Joe by name, though neither post described a specific job. The Better Business Bureau gives the company an A+ grade with no complaints or government actions on file since it registered in 2016. BuildZoom's page for the business flags an inability to verify the license and mixes in permits for work like roofing and structural steel that don't match a one-man plumbing operation, so that listing's project history is worth taking with a grain of salt — the state license registry here confirms the license is in fact active. For everyday plumbing and gas-fitting work around Billerica, he's easy to reach directly — just confirm his current schedule, since he works solo. **Strengths:** - Registry-verified license — active master plumber and gas-fitter - Neighbor recommendations — named directly on Nextdoor and Reddit **Where sources disagree:** - BuildZoom's own listing flags the license as unable to verify with a 'no active license' alert, while the state registry confirms plumber license #11482-PL-M is active under Joseph Green ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - Massachusetts master plumber and gas-fitter license #11482 is active and registry-verified, held by Joseph Green _(confidence: high)_ - [Official Website](https://skillproservices.com) — “Self-reported license/registration number (NOT verified against any registry): Master Plumber & Gas-fitter License #11482” - [State License Registry](https://occupationallicensingandpermitting.mass.gov/madol/s/license-search-page) — “MA plumber license 11482-PL-M registry-verified active — registry holder of record: Joseph Green” - Owner Joe describes himself as a third-generation plumber with over 40 years of experience, working without dispatchers or answering services _(confidence: medium)_ - [Official Website](https://skillproservices.com) — “Ownership (self-reported): Owner-operated by Joe, described as a 3rd-generation plumber with over 40 years of plumbing and gas fitting exper…” - Better Business Bureau grade is A+, in business since 2016, with no complaints or government actions on file _(confidence: high)_ - [Better Business Bureau](https://www.bbb.org/us/ma/billerica/profile/plumber/skill-pro-services-plumbing-gas-fitting-services-0021-189119) — “BBB profile for Skill Pro Services: Plumbing & Gas Fitting Services in Billerica, MA — an A+ rated but NOT BBB-accredited sole proprietorshi…” - Named directly by neighbors on Nextdoor and in a Reddit thread when asked for a plumber recommendation _(confidence: medium)_ - [Nextdoor](https://nextdoor.com/p/5zcrpWqhMTy8) — “Nextdoor (Billerica, MA) — Hi Kay - call or text Joe at Skill Pro Services - 978-707-5922” - [reddit.com](https://www.reddit.com/r/LowellMA/comments/1jtow0x/any_cheap_plumber_in_lowell_area/mly1aur/) — “r/LowellMA — Call skill pro, guys name is Joe.” - BuildZoom's listing flags the license as unable to verify and mixes in permits for unrelated trades such as roofing and electrical work _(confidence: low)_ - [BuildZoom](https://www.buildzoom.com/contractor/skill-pro-services-plumbing-gas-fitting-services) — “BuildZoom profile for Skill Pro Services - Plumbing & Gas Fitting Services at 460 Boston Rd, Billerica MA 01821 (a sole proprietorship, owne…” - Specializes in Plumbing _(confidence: high)_ - [Official Website](https://skillproservices.com) — “An owner-operated Billerica, MA plumbing and gas-fitting business offering residential repairs and installations including water heaters, fi…” - [Better Business Bureau](https://www.bbb.org/us/ma/billerica/profile/plumber/skill-pro-services-plumbing-gas-fitting-services-0021-189119) — “Services offered (Better Business Bureau): Residential Plumbing, Gas Fitting, Painting Services, Plumber” ## License Status: **active** (#11482-PL-M, plumber) — verified against the official MA state registry on 2026-08-06, never self-reported.
