## The honest read

SLA Construction is a Milford outfit that's been doing business since 2014, according to its BBB file, and its work leans hard toward decks — Houzz lists 'deck design' as its stated specialty, and most of the nine projects shown there are decks, sheds and porches.

In 2019 reviews, homeowners describe Greyson Lima replacing an old deck with a new one that came in within budget, suggesting upgrades for a longer-lasting build without pushing for upsells, and installing a Trex deck with white railings, working through a Sunday to finish and improvising a cost-effective fix for an old storm door.

One thing to confirm before hiring: the state's home improvement contractor registry lists SLA Construction's registration as revoked. Its BBB file, separately, carries an A+ rating, though the company isn't BBB-accredited.

Worth a call for a deck build, but check current registration status directly with the state before signing anything.

**Strengths:**
- Deck specialists — reviews describe budget-conscious, long-lasting deck builds
- Fast turnaround — worked through a Sunday to finish a Trex deck

**Concerns:**
- Registration revoked — state registry lists it as revoked, not merely lapsed
