Its website names Deep River, Madison and Essex as its service area and says the company offers hardscaping work. An Essex customer wrote in 2024 that SLC had handled lawn mowing, leaf cleanup and driveway plowing at the home for about 15 years. That 2024 customer also described SLC removing a large grove of bamboo and cutting down four 60-foot pine trees. In the same 2024 review, the customer said they had asked SLC to plow only when snow topped 8 inches, and that when it did by 7am, the driveway was plowed by 7am. A 2023 customer said Steve and his crew removed and trimmed trees overhanging the roof and deck, taking care that nothing was damaged. That 2023 customer said Steve also cut down two trees that were not in the scope he had quoted. In 2025, a customer described a major overhaul of their property that included rock removal, tree removal, stepping stone installation and excavation work. A 2024 customer said Steve Loos had done their regular mowing and leaf cleanup for years and had recently added hardscaping and road maintenance. One 2024 reviewer wrote that SLC plowed a 400-foot steep and twisty driveway. A 2024 customer said SLC helped with sod installation, bush pruning and spring mulching alongside lawn care and plowing. A 2025 customer with a fairly complicated lawn said Steve's workers were careful mowing and trimming around flower beds and cleaned up afterward. That 2025 customer said Steve would call or email to ask how everything worked out. A 2025 customer who had used SLC many times for trimming, planting and mulching called the pricing very fair. **Strengths:** - Long-running lawn care — a 2024 Essex customer described about 15 years of service - Careful tree work — a 2023 customer said they took care nothing was damaged - Steep driveway plowing — a 2024 customer said SLC cleared a 400-foot driveway - Fair pricing — a 2025 customer called the pricing very fair ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - 5-star average across 66 Google ratings _(confidence: high)_ - [Google](https://www.google.com/maps/search/?api=1&query=SLC%20Landscaping%20LLC&query_place_id=ChIJ0YFEaJM75okR2-ChyRR8VNk) — “Google: 5★ from 66 ratings” - A+ grade on its BBB page _(confidence: high)_ - [Better Business Bureau](https://www.bbb.org/us/ct/deep-river/profile/landscape-contractors/slc-landscaping-llc-0111-87129181) — “Better Business Bureau grade: A+” - The company's website names Deep River, Madison and Essex as its service area _(confidence: medium)_ - [Official Website](https://slclandscaping.com) — “Stated service area (self-reported): Deep River, Madison, Essex” - An Essex customer wrote in 2024 that SLC had handled lawn mowing, leaf cleanup and driveway plowing at the home for about 15 years _(confidence: high)_ - [Google Reviews](https://www.google.com/maps/reviews/data=!4m8!14m7!1m6!2m5!1sChZDSUhNMG9nS0VJQ0FnSURtc0lmNVFBEAE!2m1!1s0x0:0xd9547c14c9a1e0db!3m1!1s2@1:CIHM0ogKEICAgIDmsIf5QA%7C%7C?hl=en-US) — “5★ SLC has been providing landscaping services for about 15 years at my home in Essex.
