## The honest read

When Smart Corp pulled up an old parking lot in August 2026, they found soft clay under the asphalt. The customer wrote that instead of covering it over, the crew dug the unsuitable material out first. That is the sort of thing people notice about Roberto Perez's outfit — the part of the job that ends up buried gets done properly.

Smart Corp works out of Waltham on paving and excavation, and in practice that stretches well past driveways: patios and paver walkways, stone stairs and landings, repointing, hauling and site clearing, trenching and grading, and through the winter, plowing and shovelling.

Driveways are the job that comes up most. A customer in July 2026 said Roberto kept the project on schedule and the finish looked clean; another in June 2026 had a driveway and walkways paved, and mentioned competitive pricing and fast answers to questions.
