The recent reviews talk about roofs, siding and gutters. A September 2026 Google reviewer got a new roof in one day's time and says Jeff answered every call or text immediately; another September 2026 customer had a new roof and gutters done. A September 2026 reviewer planning new siding describes Jeff as "not a pushy salesman". In June 2026, a customer who had roofing and siding done praised Hector as communicative, and an April 2026 Thumbtack reviewer had roof, siding and gutters done on time with Hector and the office team. Another April 2026 Thumbtack review describes a full roof replacement on a property in Woodstock, completed on time at a price the customer called fair. The older reviews name Luis. In a January 2024 review, Luis did a customer's house roof and shed. A November 2022 reviewer hired Luis' company to strip a large section of a church building in South Windsor; the crew set up tarps to protect the landscaping and had both sides stripped by noon and cleaned up by about 3pm. A January 2023 customer says the roof was stripped, repaired and shingled in two days. Two complaints stand apart from the work. In July 2026, a New Britain resident says Andrés ignored a "no soliciting" sign and aggressively solicited business at doors. A June 2024 Google reviewer wrote that the driver "almost killed my family" with awful driving and nearly took out several mailboxes with wild swerving. Smart Roofing LLC holds an active Connecticut home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0667550. Its BBB grade is A+. On Thumbtack the company says it has over 15 years of hands-on roofing experience and has worked directly with homeowners since 2022; its site lists free estimates and says it is insured, with a service area that includes Waterbury, Hartford, New Haven, Springfield and Chicopee. **Strengths:** - One-day jobs — three reviews describe work finished in a day - Roof, siding, gutters — 2026 customers describe all three - Responsive staff — Jeff and Hector named for quick communication **Concerns:** - Door soliciting — 2026 resident says a no-soliciting sign was ignored - Driving — 2024 reviewer complained of swerving near mailboxes ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - Holds an active Connecticut home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0667550, held by Smart Roofing LLC _(confidence: high)_ - [State License Registry](https://www.elicense.ct.gov/Lookup/LicenseLookup.aspx) — “CT hic license HIC.0667550 registry-verified active — registry holder of record: SMART ROOFING LLC” - 4.7 stars from 30 Google ratings and 5.0 from 11 Thumbtack ratings _(confidence: high)_ - [Google](https://www.google.com/maps/search/?api=1&query=Smart%20Roofing&query_place_id=ChIJq7OZPiTH54kRGFvwL8DWgw0) — “Google: 4.7★ from 30 ratings” - [Thumbtack](https://www.thumbtack.com/ct/bristol/roof-inspection-services/smart-roofing/service/574784144691568654) — “Thumbtack: 5.0★ from 11 ratings” - BBB grade A+ _(confidence: high)_ - [Better Business Bureau](https://www.bbb.org/us/ct/wolcott/profile/roofing-contractors/smart-roofing-llc-0111-110088933) — “Better Business Bureau grade: A+” - Roofs finished in a day or two, per reviews from 2023 and 2026 _(confidence: high)_ - [Google Reviews](https://www.google.com/maps/reviews/data=!4m8!14m7!1m6!2m5!1sCi9DQUlRQUNvZENodHljRjlvT21aRFFtSlRRbmt0Vm1WRVdXZEdOV2cyTVZwT2QwRRAB!2m1!1s0x0:0xd83d6c02ff05b18!3m1!1s2@1:CAIQACodChtycF9oOmZDQmJTQnktVmVEWWdGNWg2MVpOd0E%7C%7C?hl=en-US) — “5★ I cannot say enough good about this company.
