SMR Heating And Cooling is a Connecticut HVAC company; its website cites 13 years in business, 24/7 emergency service and a service area that includes Middletown, Glastonbury and Hartford. Its Google reviews date from 2024 to 2026. In a September 2026 review, Sean came out the same day when the heat broke down, put tarps down to protect the floors and cleaned up. Another September 2026 customer said Sean did all the steps for a smart e-loan that made a whole-house heat pump system possible. An October 2025 reviewer who got quotes from 10 companies chose Sean for a fair, transparent quote with no pressure. A July 2025 customer had vents and returns installed through an old flat roof and an expanded attic access. In a July 2024 review, a 1998 system was replaced with a heat pump and an oil furnace as backup, and a May 2024 customer had 3 mini splits installed in a day, with Sean finding rebates and tax credits. One July 2024 Google review gives 3★: the technician did not fix the problem but charged $350 for a part and $80 for the service call. Google shows 5★ from 101 ratings, and Angi and HomeAdvisor each show 5.0★ from 2. Its Connecticut HVAC licence, HTG.0409923-S1, is active. **Strengths:** - Honest diagnosis — 2025 customer's fix cost a third of another quote - Financing help — 2024 and 2026 customers got rebates, tax credits or a loan arranged - Fast repairs — 2024 and 2026 reviews describe same-day visits **Concerns:** - Unresolved repair — July 2024 review describes a $430 charge that did not fix the problem ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - Held off a cold-weather reading to save a customer money, then fixed the AC for a third of another quote, per a June 2025 review _(confidence: medium)_ - [Google Reviews](https://www.google.com/maps/reviews/data=!4m8!14m7!1m6!2m5!1sChdDSUhNMG9nS0VPRDFvOHp4b0szeW9BRRAB!2m1!1s0x0:0x557fcd37135912ba!3m1!1s2@1:CIHM0ogKEOD1o8zxoK3yoAE%7C%7C?hl=en-US) — “5★ A lot of times people think nowadays you cannot find honest companies that would come out and not only do a good job but charge you fairl…” - Installed heat pumps and mini splits, per 2024–2026 reviews _(confidence: high)_ - [Google Reviews](https://www.google.com/maps/reviews/data=!4m8!14m7!1m6!2m5!1sCi9DQUlRQUNvZENodHljRjlvT25sSmFqbDBWRUpMZGtwQ2N6TnJPVzFEV0ZWeWIyYxAB!2m1!1s0x0:0x557fcd37135912ba!3m1!1s2@1:CAIQACodChtycF9oOnlJajl0VEJLdkpCczNrOW1DWFVyb2c%7C%7C?hl=en-US) — “5★ Outstanding service.
