A 2024 Reddit commenter placed it in Sandy Hook and said it "does good work." It holds 4.9 stars from 79 Google ratings, and its BBB grade is A+. One recent installation put 15 panels on the back of the roof, with none visible from the street, and that customer said the install took several hours, not days. A customer who shopped six solar companies said Solara handled and paid for the permits, the electric hookup, Eversource utility integration and the town building inspection. When that customer had a concern after the install, Solara lined up the install team at Shoreline Solar to resolve it. A recent customer said Solara did all the permitting and that Eversource found no problem at the final inspection. A 2026 customer said their 55-panel system required reconfiguring several areas of the layout, and that Quinn and Jason were willing to revisit the design until it was right. A 2025 customer said a 10 KW install took a while because of Homeowners Association approvals, and that Solara provided the additional documents the HOA required. A 2023 customer gave one star and called a salesman who has since moved on and opened his own dealership a liar. Connecticut lists its home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0699186, as active, held by SOLARA SOLAR LLC. **Strengths:** - Permits handled — a recent customer said permits and inspections were covered - A quick install — a recent customer said installation took several hours - Design revisions — a recent customer said plans were modified to fit **Concerns:** - A sales complaint — a 2023 customer called a former salesman a liar ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - Describes itself as a residential solar installer for Connecticut homeowners _(confidence: medium)_ - [Official Website](https://solarasolar.com) — “About (self-reported, verbatim): Connecticut homeowners trust Solara Solar for honest guidance, thoughtful solar design and professional res…” - 4.9 stars from 79 Google ratings _(confidence: high)_ - [Google](https://www.google.com/maps/search/?api=1&query=Solara%20Solar&query_place_id=ChIJ_yPudb3754kRFfQePQ-bZS4) — “Google: 4.9★ from 79 ratings” - BBB grade A+ _(confidence: high)_ - [Better Business Bureau](https://www.bbb.org/us/ct/newtown/profile/solar-energy-contractors/solara-solar-0111-110093129) — “Better Business Bureau grade: A+” - A recent customer said a 15-panel installation took several hours, not days _(confidence: high)_ - [Google Reviews](https://www.google.com/maps/reviews/data=!4m8!14m7!1m6!2m5!1sCi9DQUlRQUNvZENodHljRjlvT21wdFpXWldNMUExUjBocVFWRkpTbGh6ZDJjME9WRRAB!2m1!1s0x0:0x2e659b0f3d1ef415!3m1!1s2@1:CAIQACodChtycF9oOmptZWZWM1A1R0hqQVFJSlhzd2c0OVE%7C%7C?hl=en-US) — “5★ Solara Solar recently installed 15 solar panels on our home.
