## The honest read

Soul Tree Care llc is a tree company whose website lists a service area of Dover, Portsmouth, York, Somersworth, Durham, Exeter, Newmarket, Rollinsford, Berwick and Eliot. Google shows 5 stars from 32 ratings.

A recent customer said Chris and Brian cut 8 trees down and were careful to use mats as they drove their lift truck out to the cutting area. After chipping and removing the logs, that customer wrote, you could barely tell they had been there. A recent customer said Chris and his crew removed some very difficult trees and were neat, clean, safe and respectful of the property.

A 2025 customer said Chris and the team removed a complicated tree that required a crane and left the property clean. A 2025 customer said Chris and crew removed a very old sugar maple no more than 5-6’ from the farm house, with a trunk at least 4’ in diameter. A 2025 reviewer wrote that on his first visit Chris asked if he could leave one old tree because there were baby birds in it. A 2025 customer with about a dozen tall oaks that needed limbing and trimming said Chris came over later that day, gave a fair estimate and scheduled the work right then and there. A 2025 customer said they hired Chris once to remove large red oaks in tricky spots and once to plant some fruit trees.

A 2024 customer said Chris knew the regulations for working along the shoreline, gave a quote within 30 minutes for clearing overgrown trees and brush blocking a view of the bay, and stuck to his estimate and timeline even though it rained the entire time. A 2024 customer facing an Ash tree succumbing to EAB and 2 maples that had come down in storms said Chris came when he said he would and charged what he quoted.

**Strengths:**
- Careful equipment use — a recent customer said mats went under the lift truck
- A crane removal — a 2025 customer said a complicated tree required a crane
- Same-day estimate — a 2025 customer said Chris came over later that day
- Quote honored — a 2024 customer said Chris charged what he quoted
