## The honest read

South County Seamless Gutters is a North Kingstown gutter installer whose recent customers and older ones tell two different stories. The company says it has been in business for 29 years and makes its own seamless aluminum gutters, and on Google it holds 3.7 stars from 6 ratings.

The two recent reviews are positive and detailed. A May 2026 customer said Derreck and Eric came for an estimate the day after they reached out, swapped faded gray/blue gutters for black ones with a leaf guard system, rescheduled around rain, and had the crew work from 9:30 to 7pm to finish a house with a dormer and a detached garage. That customer said another contractor's estimate was nearly 50% more. An August 2026 customer said Derreck came out several times before the gutters went up to answer questions, and that his estimate seemed the most fair of four.

The older complaints are about follow-up. In an April 2022 review, a homeowner said gutters installed the previous summer started buzzing, rattling and creaking in fall winds, that it took Eric months to come out, that the one visit did not help, and that many calls over months went unanswered. In a November 2021 review, another customer said the company promised to come correct a problem with gutter screens it had installed and never showed.

Its Rhode Island home improvement contractor licence, GC-45649, is expired on the state registry, which lists South County Seamless Gutters as the holder of record.

**Strengths:**
- Responsive estimates — May 2026 customer had a visit the next day
- Competitive quotes — two 2026 customers found its estimate the most fair
- Full-day installs — crew worked 9:30 to 7pm to finish one house

**Concerns:**
- Slow follow-up — 2021 and 2022 customers said fixes never came or failed
- Noisy gutters — 2022 homeowner reported rattling and creaking in wind
- Expired licence — Rhode Island registry shows GC-45649 expired
