A courant.com article describes it as a company that still delivers oil and ice. It holds an A+ grade with the BBB and a 4.4-star Google rating from 65 ratings. A recent Google customer who switched after their prior oil company retired said delivery came the next day, with care taken around the yard and plants near the oil pipe. A long-time customer wrote that Aram did their yearly furnace cleaning. A customer of more than 15 years said that when they call on a weekend or holiday, the company calls back almost immediately. A Reddit commenter in r/Connecticut said they liked the price protection plan when they used to buy oil from Spring Brook. In a 2026 review, a customer of three years said Ron did their furnace maintenance and that the driver who delivered their oil was respectful of the property. A 2026 customer wrote that there were plenty of times they called in the morning after running out of oil and had oil delivered by lunch time. In a 2024 review, a customer with no heat or hot water called Megan at 8:15 and had a delivery by 8:45. A 2021 customer said the company installed their hot water tanks, heating systems and oil tanks. The business also sells dry ice; a 2023 customer said someone at the front desk showed them how to activate it for a birthday cake. A 2026 customer gave one star, saying they called before the tank was empty but the company did not deliver until it was ready, and objecting to an added charge for a weekend delivery. In a 2024 review, a customer said they made an account to get oil and never heard back. A 2025 customer said a phone call ended with the company hanging up on them. **Strengths:** - Next-day delivery — a recent new customer had oil the day after switching - A same-morning delivery — a 2024 customer called at 8:15, oil came by 8:45 - Furnace cleaning — a recent customer had their yearly cleaning done by Aram - Weekend callbacks — a recent customer said weekend calls get returned almost immediately **Concerns:** - Delivery timing — a 2026 customer said oil came only when the company was ready - Unreturned calls — a 2024 customer said the company never called back - A rude call — a 2025 customer said the company hung up on them ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - Says on its website it has served its community since 1918 _(confidence: medium)_ - [Official Website](https://springbrookiceandfuel.com) — “About (self-reported, verbatim): We have been dedicated to serving our community since 1918.
