The company describes itself as a provider of construction services in Connecticut and says it has been in business 15 years. On Thumbtack, the owner describes a team of five with over 18 years of hands-on experience in construction, concrete work, demolition and repairs. A recent customer said Jhone and SSJ Construction completely updated their patio, including the new steps and the details around the edges. A recent customer wrote that Jhone revamped their entire patio and finished within the time frame they had agreed on. A recent customer has used SSJ twice, for a patio and for front steps and a walkway, and wrote that the worksite is always clean and no follow-up items were missed. A recent customer praised the job Jhone and the SSJ Construction team did on their deck and said it completely transformed the space. The work goes beyond stone. A recent customer who has used Jhone Mirada for years listed roof repair on a shed, interior and exterior painting, carpentry, masonry, and removing and installing an awning. A recent Thumbtack customer described a front stairs porch being patched up and called the service responsive and punctual. A 2026 Thumbtack customer said Jhone created a plan with them and solved an issue they were having with their masonry. A 2025 customer said John responded immediately and completed the masonry work the next day. In a 2024 review, a customer said John made sure they did not spend a fortune on what was a simple repair. A 2023 customer said JM Construction installed a fence in their back yard. A 2022 customer said Jhone and team set up a stone patio. **Strengths:** - Patio updates — a recent patio revamp finished within the agreed time frame - Reasonable prices — a recent customer said so after a patio revamp - A clean worksite — a recent customer said it is always clean - Next-day masonry — a 2025 customer said the work was done the next day ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - Describes itself as a provider of construction services in Connecticut _(confidence: medium)_ - [Official Website](https://ssjconstructionservice.com) — “About (self-reported, verbatim): SSJ Construction is a premier provider of construction services in Connecticut, recognized for its commitme…” - Says it has been in business 15 years _(confidence: medium)_ - [Official Website](https://ssjconstructionservice.com) — “Self-reported 15 years in business” - The owner describes a team of five with over 18 years of experience in construction, concrete work, demolition and repairs _(confidence: medium)_ - [Thumbtack](https://www.thumbtack.com/ct/greenwich/general-contractors/ssj-construction/service/377646022892773380) — “About (Thumbtack, self-described): Hi, I’m the owner of SSJ Construction.
