The company says it was founded in 1996 by Eric and Jerry Salvesen and is managed and operated by Eric Salvesen. A 2015 customer said the company raised their roofline, converted an old garage into a great room, and added a new kitchen, patio, windows, siding and a fourth bedroom. That 2015 customer said the job was done a few weeks ahead of schedule. A 2015 reviewer said the company removed the whole second floor and did a total renovation of the kitchen, with completion taking about 7 months. A 2015 customer said Eric and Gerry put in all new windows, doors and siding, converted a three-season room into a family room, and kept the premises clean and neat. A 2015 reviewer said Eric met them at a lake front house they were weighing and prepared a "budget estimate" before any formal bid. A 2015 customer said Eric and Jerry's pricing on a large addition and renovation was very fair and the work was completed on time. In 2020, a Houzz customer wrote that Eric and his team did a huge renovation and were efficient, honest and respectful. On Houzz it shows 5.0 stars from 13 ratings, and its BBB grade is A+. Connecticut lists its home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0565021, as active, held by Sterling Associates LLC. **Strengths:** - Whole-house renovation — a 2015 customer said a ranch became a two-story colonial - Ahead of schedule — a 2015 customer said the job finished weeks ahead of schedule - A clean job site — a 2015 customer said the premises were kept clean and neat ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - In 2015, a customer said a ranch was turned into a two-story colonial in 6 months _(confidence: medium)_ - [Houzz](https://www.houzz.com/professionals/home-builders/sterling-associate-llc-pfvwus-pf~26295719) — “5★ We highly recommend Eric Salvesen and Sterling Associates.
