## The honest read

Stumpers grinds and removes tree stumps. Its website offers stump removal and grinding to home and business owners in all of Connecticut and names Shelton as its service area.

A 2016 customer said Stumpers removed a Sycamore stump from the middle of their front lawn, took away the wood chips and laid down top soil so new grass could grow. A 2017 customer wrote that they removed 8 stumps that were in a row. A 2019 customer said two large stumps came out in a couple of hours and saved them thousands over other quotes. A 2015 customer said the company back filled with dirt and seeded after removing their tree stump, and left the jobsite spotless.

A 2017 customer described a slower start: the job took over 2 weeks, and they cancelled twice, once because it rained and once because of an equipment breakdown. That 2017 customer was charged $250 to grind the stump of a 30 pine and was asked for another $100 to move the chips to the back of the yard, which they called a bit high.

On Angi, Stumpers holds 4.9 stars from 18 ratings.
