## The honest read

Sultan Appliance Repair fixes household appliances, and it holds 5 stars from 231 Google ratings. Its website lists refrigerator, washer and dryer, oven and cooktop, dishwasher and disposal, freezer, wine cooler and ice maker repair, and names a service area that runs through Rye, Harrison, Bedford, Pelham and Mount Vernon to Greenwich, Stamford and Darien.

A recent Google customer said Mohammed diagnosed their Kenmore dryer issue quickly and helped find a more affordable motor replacement on eBay instead of going through the manufacturer. A recent customer called Sultan for a dryer repair and said he came the next day and had it up and running within the hour. A recent customer got service on a Saturday and wrote that the repairman diagnosed and repaired the pump on their LG washer in minutes. A recent customer said Mohamed fixed their dishwasher issue in about an hour and explained what was wrong, after the manufacturer's customer service refused to come without a model number.

A 2026 customer said an unauthorized Bosch repair had tried to charge for parts that were not broken; that customer wrote that Sultan diagnosed the problem, made a video for the credit card dispute and repaired their Bosch 800 series dishwasher. A 2026 customer said Mohammed came out the same day, replaced the heating coils on their GE gas dryer on the spot and ran the machine through a few cycles. A 2025 customer said a dishwasher that collected water and would not finish its cycle was fixed, with a follow-up visit the next day at no cost.

A 2025 customer gave one star, writing that information was not disclosed up front, that prices were high and that he was unable to fix anything.

**Strengths:**
- Next-day dryer repair — a recent customer had it running within the hour
- Saturday service — a recent customer got an LG washer pump repaired
- A cheaper part — a recent customer was helped to an eBay motor replacement

**Concerns:**
- Price and disclosure — a 2025 customer cited high prices and no fix
