Summit Hardwood Floors is a one-person flooring operation, run by owner Stephen Neves, who the company says went out on his own in 2020 after ten years already working the trade. He describes serving a stretch from southern New Hampshire down through Cape Cod, doing sanding, refinishing, patch repairs and new installs.

Between 2023 and late 2024, a run of Google reviews described the same experience: Steve — sometimes alongside a helper named Tom — showing up on time, walking homeowners through finish options, and leaving floors reviewers called meticulous. A 2024 review recounts a Brookline condo job where old parquet floors were covered in luxury vinyl after the carpet came out, calling him responsive and professional from start to finish; another, also from 2024, said a refinish done about a year earlier still looked wonderful. That same year he also took on a couple of custom woodworking jobs outside flooring — building a desk and a set of walnut benches — that customers praised by name.

The one review from the last several months, though, is a different story: a July 2026 customer complained about siding work, describing gaps around a door frame and along an entire side where panels weren't cut or fitted correctly.
