## The honest read

A chimney falling off the side of a house is the kind of call Summit Masonry & Chimney takes: one customer says they came right out and rebuilt the whole chimney, and that theirs was the best estimate the customer had.

The company's website says it brings over two decades of experience to homeowners throughout Fairfield, CT and surrounding areas, and describes the business as locally and family-owned.

A customer with a lot of leaks coming in the chimney says Tommy and the team did the job well from start to finish. A customer whose chimney was in pretty bad shape says Tommy and his team replaced it. One customer had the chimney crown repaired and says the whole chimney was waterproofed.

A customer says the company repointed a fieldstone foundation and waterproofed the inside of the basement. After having the basement waterproofed with Tommy, a customer reports no more leaks in the basement.

A customer had a patio installed with the company. A customer says Tommy and his team repaired their stairs.

Connecticut lists its home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0608023, held by Summit Masonry LLC, as expired.

**Strengths:**
- A chimney rebuild — a customer says they came right out and rebuilt it
- Basement waterproofing — a customer reports no more leaks in the basement
- Foundation repointing — a fieldstone foundation was repointed, the basement waterproofed
- Chimney crown repair — a customer had the crown repaired and chimney waterproofed
