Last 6 months: 15 reviews, 0 negative. ## The honest read Ken and his crew cut down a tree in a very tight spot next to one recent customer's house and left the place clean. A recent customer said a very tall Hickory tree in a tight spot came down "like it was never there." A recent customer said Ken and crew removed some big trees and brush, finished faster than expected, took all the trees and debris away, and came in as the lowest price that customer got. The company's website describes it as working in drainage, waterproofing, hardscaping and tree work in New Haven County, and says it has been in business 25 years. Its stated service area includes Wallingford, Cheshire, Hamden, North Haven, Meriden, Durham, Branford, Guilford, Madison, Middletown and New Haven. On the drainage side, a recent customer said Ken explained exactly the work from the start and communicated throughout a project to install a drain so their garage would not flood. A 2026 customer said Ken came out during a storm, saw how the water flowed and came up with a solution for the drainage issues on their slope. A 2025 customer said Ken assessed water pooling against the foundation and installed a drainage system, and that after several rains there was no more pooling. A 2025 customer said Sunnyside installed a curtain drain in their backyard and that a flower bed had no erosion after that. A 2025 customer said the trench Ken put in meant their yard was not a mud pit that spring for the first time in over a decade. Yard work runs alongside it. A 2025 customer said Ken first handled water in their basement and then he and his team landscaped the front yard, from planting bushes to sowing grass. A 2025 customer said Ken installed a dry river bed to keep rainwater out of the home, graded the lawn and handled the seeding. A 2025 customer said Ken cleared small trees, vines and bushes from an overgrown backyard area and removed the stumps, leaving a mowable area. A 2026 customer said the owner, Ken Biggs, took on five very old and very tall trees, started the job during the holidays, and kept them informed about weather delays and the schedule. A recent customer said a downed tree was removed around their schedule, and that the price came in a bit above the initial estimate because the work was more involved once the team got into the job. A 2025 Google reviewer left one star and wrote, "Avoid at all costs." Connecticut lists its home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0701460, as active, held by Sunnyside Property Services LLC. **Strengths:** - Tight-spot tree removal — a recent customer's tree came down next to the house - A garage drain — a recent customer said Ken explained the work from the start - A low price — a recent customer said his price was the lowest they got - A curtain drain — a 2025 customer said the erosion stopped afterward **Concerns:** - Estimate overrun — a recent customer's price ran a bit above the estimate - One-star review — a 2025 reviewer wrote "Avoid at all costs" ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - A recent customer said Ken and his crew cut down a tree in a very tight spot next to their house and left the place clean _(confidence: high)_ - [Google Reviews](https://www.google.com/maps/reviews/data=!4m8!14m7!1m6!2m5!1sCi9DQUlRQUNvZENodHljRjlvT2pZNFZFNUhjVFZNUjFsWWNXZEVWelJWWVZOblRIYxAB!2m1!1s0x0:0x5e4ef42263a7bfd1!3m1!1s2@1:CAIQACodChtycF9oOjY4VE5HcTVMR1lYcWdEVzRVYVNnTHc%7C%7C?hl=en-US) — “5★ Ken and his crew cut down a tree in a very tight spot next to my house.
