It holds 5 stars from 42 Google ratings and 5.0 stars from 12 Angi ratings. A recent Google customer with a newly purchased home said Scott sanded a large square of the floor and brought samples of unfinished red and white oak boards to settle which species the floors were. That customer had tile floors in the foyer and kitchen removed and new white oak flooring installed, and said Scott finished the floors with 3 coats of Bona HD High Traffic Matte clear coat. The same customer wrote that it is impossible to tell where the new floors meet the old. In a 100-year-old condo in Newport, a recent customer said Scott ripped out some of the existing laminate and put in new wide plank white oak with a white stain. A recent Google customer had existing hardwood floors refinished and old carpet ripped out of 3 bedrooms with matching hardwoods installed, and said the price was less than expected. A recent Google customer said Scott took detailed pictures and wrote up what was needed to repair their scratched floors for an insurance claim, and that his quote was the most reasonable of the four they received. That customer said the crew carefully moved all of their furniture, including heavy, fragile antique pieces, and put it back when they were done. On Angi, a recent customer said Tamas and Son LLC refinished a cork kitchen floor, finished the job ahead of time, and left the floor looking better than when it was installed 12 years earlier. A 2025 Angi customer said Scott and his team installed new oak hardwood floors throughout a 2200 sq ft home. **Strengths:** - Matching old and new — a recent customer could not tell where new floors met old - Cork floor refinishing — a recent Angi customer had a cork kitchen floor refinished - Careful furniture handling — a recent customer said antique pieces were moved and put back - Insurance repair quote — a recent customer said Scott photographed and wrote up scratched floors ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - Says on Angi it has served Rhode Island with hardwood flooring for the past 20 years _(confidence: medium)_ - [Angi](https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/ri/north-smithfield/tamas-and-son-reviews-10860971.htm) — “About (Angi, self-described): For the past 20 years, T&S Floors has proudly served Rhode Island with top-tier hardwood flooring solutions, e…” - 5 stars from 42 Google ratings _(confidence: high)_ - [Google](https://www.google.com/maps/search/?api=1&query=Tamas%20%26%20Son%20Hardwood%20Flooring&query_place_id=ChIJK8JnK164WKYROFEnk26n-P0) — “Google: 5★ from 42 ratings” - 5.0 stars from 12 Angi ratings _(confidence: high)_ - [Angi](https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/ri/north-smithfield/tamas-and-son-reviews-10860971.htm) — “Angi: 5.0★ from 12 ratings” - A recent customer said Scott sanded a test square and brought oak samples to identify the existing floors, and that new and old floors meet without a visible line _(confidence: high)_ - [Google Reviews](https://www.google.com/maps/reviews/data=!4m8!14m7!1m6!2m5!1sCi9DQUlRQUNvZENodHljRjlvT2s1d1VETldSWGR4TW1oWE4wbEVhbmxHZGtGU1pYYxAB!2m1!1s0x0:0xfdf8a76e93275138!3m1!1s2@1:CAIQACodChtycF9oOk5wUDNWRXdxMmhXN0lEanlGdkFSZXc%7C%7C?hl=en) — “5★ Tamas & Son did an incredible job at our newly purchased home.
