## The honest read

Tamay Enterprises describes itself as a West Haven, CT–based multi-service company providing construction and home renovation services, real estate solutions and local logistics support. Its website names West Haven, Orange, Milford, New Haven, Woodbridge, Bethany, Fairfield, Trumbull and Hamden as its service area.

A recent customer said Carlos assembled a standing computer desk and arrived ahead of time. One customer had Carlos assemble a bedroom dresser ordered off Amazon and plans to call him again for the matching side table. A patio-furniture customer said they texted the day before to confirm, then offered an earlier slot when one opened. Carlos and Thomas arrived on schedule for one job and worked until dark to finish it; that customer called the hourly rate very reasonable.

A 2026 customer said Thomas assembled a kitchen island. A 2026 customer said they mounted a TV, mirrors and curtain rods. A 2026 customer said Carlos set up a walk-in closet room at a very fair price.

A 2025 customer said a privacy wall knocked down by a falling tree branch was replaced and painted to match the deck, and the gate leading to the deck was fixed as well. A 2025 customer said a leaking pipe called in as a quick fix turned out to be a bigger job, and the parts were repaired and replaced. A 2024 customer said Tamay Construction LLC repaired a family room after water damage, with plumbing repaired and new drywall, trim and painting. A 2024 customer said Tamay Construction was at the house from 9 a.m. until 6:30 p.m. to replace an HVAC unit and remediate some water damage, and called the quote more than fair.

A 2023 customer said Tamay came out on a Choice Home Warranty service call for furnace leaks, took the $85 service fee, and then returned no calls or messages for weeks while the valve and gaskets were still leaking.

**Strengths:**
- Furniture assembly — a desk, a dresser and patio furniture put together
- Worked until dark — a recent customer said they stayed to finish
- Appointment confirmation — a recent customer got a text the day before
- A privacy wall rebuild — a 2025 customer said it matched the deck

**Concerns:**
- A warranty service call — a 2023 customer got no callbacks for weeks
