BBB records the company as started in 2016 with 8 employees, though it isn't accredited and hasn't rated it for lack of information. The one detailed account on file is concerning. A December 2024 review describes hiring the company to replace a central air system, paying a high price because the system needed replacing quickly, and then finding several issues with the finished work — serious enough that the reviewer questioned whether the installers knew what they were doing. Google's own rating, 2.3 stars from just 3 ratings, lines up with that account rather than standing apart from it. The written record here is thin, so it isn't clear whether this reflects one bad job or a wider pattern. Given how serious the complaint is, get a detailed written scope of work, ask for recent references, and consider a second opinion before committing to a major system replacement with this company. **Concerns:** - Serious installation complaint — a December 2024 review cites several issues - Low Google rating — 2.3 stars from a small sample of ratings ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - BBB records the business as started in 2016 with 8 employees, under president Robert Taylor; it is not accredited and has not been rated. _(confidence: high)_ - [Better Business Bureau](https://www.bbb.org/us/ma/haverhill/profile/heating-and-air-conditioning/taylor-son-hvac-inc-0021-262050) — “BBB profile for Taylor & Son Hvac Inc at 466 Lake St, Haverhill MA: not BBB accredited, Not Rated (BBB says it lacks sufficient information)…” - Provides heating, cooling and ventilation installation and maintenance for commercial and residential projects, plus sheet metal fabrication and welding. _(confidence: high)_ - [Official Website](https://taylorandsonhvac.com) — “Taylor & Son HVAC, Inc. provides heating, cooling and ventilation maintenance and new mechanical system installation for commercial and resi…” - A December 2024 review describes a central air replacement job with several serious issues after paying a high price for urgent service. _(confidence: high)_ - [Google Reviews](https://www.google.com/maps/reviews/data=!4m8!14m7!1m6!2m5!1sChdDSUhNMG9nS0VJQ0FnSURQcWZuZXp3RRAB!2m1!1s0x0:0xb9e588094491989d!3m1!1s2@1:CIHM0ogKEICAgIDPqfnezwE%7C%7C?hl=en) — “1★ Hired Taylor and Son to replace a central air system.
