## The honest read

Terminix treats household pests around Hamden, Connecticut, where one customer called their technician "very thorough and very knowledgeable." A customer with a beehive in the basement ceiling said Giovahny knew exactly what to do about the beehive, and when it couldn't all be done in one day, he came back exactly when he said he would.

A customer who got an exclusion for mice said a technician finally got to the root of the problem. A household living in the woods said that after more than a year with Terminix they are no longer bothered by hordes of mosquitoes. One customer said Jimmy Bell has been coming to them for the last 20 years. A customer who asked for a termite estimate said the job was done the same day.

One customer paid over $1100 for a service that could not be finished because the vacuum could not handle the heat, then was never called to reschedule, even after asking the residential inspector. A customer whose bugs came back after a spray said no one showed for two scheduled follow-up appointments. A customer with dead rodents in the house was told they would have to wait more than a week for them to be found and removed. A customer said a new app sent the technician to a neighbor's house instead of theirs. One customer who left another provider for promised lower rates said Terminix turned out significantly more expensive, with cancellation fees in the contract.

Connecticut lists its pesticide applicator licence, PMBR.00215, as active, held by Terminix.

**Strengths:**
- A beehive removal — the technician returned exactly when he said he would
- Mice exclusion — a tech finally got to the root of the problem
- A long-serving technician — Jimmy Bell has visited one customer for 20 years

**Concerns:**
- A missed reschedule — paid over $1100 and never got the promised call
- Missed follow-ups — no one showed for two follow-up appointments
- Contract and pricing — one customer cited higher costs and cancellation fees
- Rodent removal wait — told to wait more than a week for removal
