## The honest read

Thames River Remodeling is a New London remodeler on Alger Street that homeowners across New London County hire mainly for bathroom renovations, and the name in its reviews is Quinton. The company says it has been in business nine years and offers free estimates. It holds an active Connecticut home improvement registration, HIC.0654746, in the name Thames River Remodeling LLC. Google shows 4.8 stars from 25 ratings, and the Better Business Bureau grades it A+.

In a May 2026 Google review, a customer said Quinton finished a bathroom renovation on time and cleaned up after each day. A January 2026 reviewer had a bathroom taken down to the studs, and a September 2025 couple said Quinton does all the work himself. In a 2024 review, a homeowner had a master bathroom redone in the promised timeframe with a custom vanity built from a few pictures; another 2024 couple went through several rounds of design for a custom-built kitchen and said no other kitchen company matched the service or price. A 2022 reviewer had an acrylic soaking tub insulated to hold heat in a white-tile bathroom with black detail.

One June 2023 review gave one star: the customer said Quinton never showed up or called for a scheduled quote on a front porch overhang.

**Strengths:**
- Bathroom gut jobs — 2025 and 2026 reviewers praised full renovations
- Custom builds — 2024 reviewers describe a vanity and a custom kitchen
- Hands-on work — a 2025 reviewer says Quinton does the work himself

**Concerns:**
- Missed estimate — a 2023 reviewer says Quinton never showed or called
