## The honest read

The Drain Medic gets called when a drain or a main sewer line backs up. A recent customer called on a Saturday night after backups in the basement; they came out immediately, explained the hydro jet they would use and its price, and cleared the drains. A recent customer said they arrived within an hour and gave the price up front, along with a potential price if the first fix didn't work. The website advertises 24/7 emergency service.

A recent customer said Raphael, the owner, got there in under an hour, cleared out an entire pipe and walked them through each step. In a 2026 review, a customer said Raphael recommended clearing the main line with a water jet after a snake had not cleared it, and arrived exactly when he said he would. In a 2022 review, a customer said Rafael brought a water line excavation crew to replace a leaking galvanized supply line with copper, using two access holes, in about five hours.

A 2025 customer said a technician spent almost 3 hours on a kitchen sink drain, charged $450, left the problem unsolved, wanted $900 more and damaged countertops. In a 2023 review, a customer said an agreed $1200 main sewer line job came to $1650 on the invoice, under a form line allowing extra charges if more than one pass was needed. A 2023 customer said Rafael cleared the main but left raw sewage in the basement, and they had to hire a clean-up company.

**Strengths:**
- Fast arrival — a recent customer said they came within an hour
- Up-front pricing — a recent customer got the price before the work
- Night call-out — a recent customer said they came on a Saturday night

**Concerns:**
- Final bill above agreed — a 2023 customer said $1200 became $1650
- Sewage left behind — a 2023 customer hired a clean-up company afterward
- Unresolved sink drain — a 2025 customer paid $450 and kept the problem
