On Thumbtack, the company describes itself as offering custom painting and finishing services, with more than 5 years of experience. One recent customer said Joshua and his brothers painted the entire exterior of their home in four days, with power washing, scraping old paint, sanding and preparation before the painting. A customer who had a deck done said Joshua agreed to add a door and some touch-ups inside the house along the way. A customer who had the interior painted said Joshua and his crew were punctual and did a good job cleaning up. On one job, three staff members took on three tasks and finished the whole painting job in one day; that customer called on Joshua and his team again for a texturizing wall treatment and painting. A garage job was described as quick, efficient and clean. A 2025 customer said the brothers painted kitchen cabinets that came out great, and called the price fair. A 2025 customer wrote that the estimate of 3 to 4 hours for spackle work was right on the money and that everything was covered during the work. A 2024 Thumbtack customer said he fixed holes in the wall and did plastering that left no marks. **Strengths:** - Exterior prep work — power washing, scraping and sanding before painting - Punctual crew — a recent interior customer said Joshua's crew was punctual - Kitchen cabinet painting — a 2025 customer said the cabinets came out great ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - 5-star Google rating from 34 ratings _(confidence: high)_ - [Google](https://www.google.com/maps/search/?api=1&query=Renew%20%26%20Painting%20LLC&query_place_id=ChIJzyN0_iD3tUwRcvrALOdnCpo) — “Google: 5★ from 34 ratings” - Describes itself on Thumbtack as offering custom painting and finishing services with more than 5 years of experience _(confidence: medium)_ - [Thumbtack](https://www.thumbtack.com/ct/naugatuck/interior-painting/renew-painting/service/506796245286428683) — “About (Thumbtack, self-described): We offer customers a wide range of custom painting and finishing services.
