## The honest read

The SprinklerMan is a Wakefield shop built around one thing: showing up fast when a zone stops working or a head needs fixing. Family-owned since 1996 -- the company says Gabe Federico founded it, now joined by Jason and Justin Federico -- it's spent three decades on irrigation systems in the Greater Boston suburbs it names on its site: Wakefield, Reading, Stoneham, Melrose, and towns further out toward Cambridge and Somerville.

Across nine reviews on Angi and HomeAdvisor from 2025 into 2026, the word that keeps surfacing is responsiveness. One customer, four years into using the company, says Gabe is "always quick to respond" whether it's a broken head or a full controller swap -- in that same 2025 review, he describes Gabe walking him through a Rain Bird ESP-TM2 controller upgrade at what he called a fair price. Another 2025 review describes a repair where "Mr. Federico was friendly and responsive," methodically tracing a wiring fault back through a tangle of buried cable until every zone worked again, and squeezing in a head move for a concurrent patio job while he was there.

Not every account is spotless: in a March 2026 review, a customer said the seasonal shutdown was "basically done right," but one misaligned head -- spraying the driveway instead of the lawn -- was left to fix when the system reopens in spring rather than corrected on the spot.
