## The honest read

Thor Roofing describes itself on Angi as an "owner/operator" type of business, with the owner on site close to 100% of the time. A 2025 customer said Chris has done roofs for two of their homes.

A 2024 customer said the roof was installed in one day. A 2023 customer said that on a complex roof job they built protective structures over the air conditioners, pool filter and hot tub. A 2020 customer whose roof was damaged by a wind storm said Chris emailed and called the insurance adjuster until the insurance company approved the correct amount, and the roof was done in about four days. A 2017 customer said the owner, Chris Johnson, and an assistant climbed on the roof to inspect and measure during the estimate, and a detailed quote arrived twenty-four hours later.

A 2019 customer said a small job installing a new vent pipe and replacing some roofing felt still left a leak into the attic, and that Chris promised to come fix it but never did after repeated calls and texts from November to February. A 2017 customer said he came out with the wrong ladder and had not come back.

Connecticut lists its home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0607157, as active, held by Thor Roofing LLC.
