A recent customer said a text got a response and a visit within 48 hours when rain was coming into the house via the microwave; new caulking around the vent was the fix, done the same day. A 2022 customer named Chris Facini as the owner and said he did a shingle-to-metal roof job in 2 days with a team of 6 workers, using a double standing seam roof panel rollforming machine. A 2023 customer said Chris resealed a standing seam roof damaged in the Christmas Eve storm of 2022 so it stopped leaking inside, and a new standing seam roof went on three weeks later. A 2023 customer with ice dams said Chris came out within a few days to break them down, then proposed a replacement roof once spring came, and had to go buy plywood when it turned out there was no wood under the older corrugated metal roof. A 2023 reviewer said Chris fixed their roof after another local company's repairs made the problem worse, for significantly less than that first company charged. A 2024 customer said the whole roof was done in one day and that Chris came back to clean up the attic and finish the new hatch. A 2025 customer credited Tim's advice for the success of a complicated metal roof project. In a September 2025 r/vermont thread, a commenter said Til Dark Roofing in Barre did their standing seam roof several years earlier and highly recommended them. A 2024 customer wrote that the company did not answer the phone or return calls for an estimate; an edit to that review gave it the benefit of the doubt after a reply. **Strengths:** - Leak fixed same day — a recent customer said new vent caulking was done that day - A two-day metal roof — a 2022 customer said a 6-worker team finished in 2 days - Storm leak resealed — a 2023 customer said Chris stopped a standing seam roof leaking - A one-day roof — a 2024 customer said the whole roof was done in one day **Concerns:** - Unreturned estimate calls — a 2024 customer said calls for an estimate went unanswered ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - 5-star Google rating from 21 ratings _(confidence: high)_ - [Google](https://www.google.com/maps/search/?api=1&query=Til'%20Dark%20Roofing%20and%20Sheet%20Metal&query_place_id=ChIJKaGCGMUHtUwRI7yuMEaq0lM) — “Google: 5★ from 21 ratings” - A recent customer said a vent-caulking leak repair was done the same day, within 48 hours of a text _(confidence: medium)_ - [Google Reviews](https://www.google.com/maps/reviews/data=!4m8!14m7!1m6!2m5!1sCi9DQUlRQUNvZENodHljRjlvT2s5aU5WcFlSVVUyVVUxdFVERlpRbUZ1VTBWSFMyYxAB!2m1!1s0x0:0x53d2aa4630aebc23!3m1!1s2@1:CAIQACodChtycF9oOk9iNVpYRUU2UU1tUDFZQmFuU0VHS2c%7C%7C?hl=en-US) — “5★ Great experience!
