## The honest read

TJ Heating & Cooling is a North Billerica, Massachusetts HVAC contractor that says it's been installing and servicing heating and air conditioning systems since 1991, and it holds real manufacturer and trade credentials: a Bryant Factory Authorized Dealer with NATE-certified technicians, EPA Section 608 certified for refrigerant handling, and its own sheet metal fabrication shop for custom ductwork. It covers Andover, Chelmsford, Lowell, North Billerica and Wilmington, offering free estimates during business hours and a separate emergency line outside them.

The review record is thin, six reviews since 2023, but the work itself gets solid marks. A July 2026 review describes a prompt, thorough full central air system replacement completed during the busiest stretch of summer, and other reviews describe reliable service across multiple properties and helpful individual technicians.

Two things are worth knowing. A May 2026 review describes a company vehicle nearly causing an accident on Route 2, a road-safety complaint rather than a job-quality one, but a real one. And a 2023 review notes dissatisfaction with where some vents ended up on an older home's central air install, though the customer acknowledged the house's age may have limited the options.

Given how few written reviews exist, it's worth asking for a couple of recent references directly, particularly for anything beyond a straightforward install.

**Strengths:**
- Manufacturer-certified — Bryant Factory Authorized Dealer with NATE-certified techs
- Strong recent install — a 2026 review describes a smooth central air replacement in peak season

**Concerns:**
- Vehicle safety complaint — a 2026 review describes a near-accident involving a company truck
- Minor install gripe — a 2023 review cites vent placement on an older home
