## The honest read

Nine hardwood bureaus, a workbench, a heavy metal chest and a stack of 3/4-inch plywood: a recent Google customer said Shawn and Seth of Trash Bandits arrived a little early and had everything out of the house and loaded up in about an hour.

The company's website lists junk hauling, curbside pickup, appliance removal, furniture removal and attic, basement and storage unit cleanouts, and says it has been in business eight years. A local news site, unionleader.com, has described Shawn and Cassandra Clarke forming Trash Bandits Junk Removal in West Nottingham in 2018.

A 2025 customer said the company gave an estimate and came a few hours later to remove the items, at a price lower than two other estimates. A 2024 customer said Shawn and Seth helped clean out their parents' house to put it on the market, and helped with the carpets. A 2023 customer said Shawn helped assess the cost of cleaning up a big property and brought a competitor who was the right fit for that job.

A 2022 customer said the owner, Shawn Clarke, answered the call himself and came later that same day to pick up one small table and one chair. A 2022 customer wrote that they live on a dirt road with a steep driveway and that they backed right in, in the middle of winter. In 2021, a real estate broker said Shawn was at a client's house the next morning with his crew, and that the house was left cleaned out, swept and wiped down. A 2021 customer said the company helped clear yard junk and damaged goods, including a freezer, after a basement flood.

On Google, the company holds 5 stars from 62 ratings.

**Strengths:**

- A lower price — a 2025 customer said it beat two other estimates
- A same-day pickup — a 2022 customer said Shawn Clarke came that day
