## The honest read

Trusted General Contractor holds 4.7 stars from 81 Google ratings and says it has been in business 10 years. A recent customer says Jhonny gave a fair estimate to repair a leaking sunroom roof without trying to sell a whole new roof for the house; when the repair revealed more extensive damage than expected, the sunroom roof was replaced the next day, a Saturday. A recent customer praised a chimney repair done on their house and said Paul was good with communication.

Roofs make up much of the work. A 2025 Old Saybrook resident said Jhonny came out, did a full evaluation, found the roof needed replacement, and the job was finished in one day. A 2025 customer said the workers removed and replaced the roof in one day and took time to ensure the joints were flashed and sealed. A 2025 customer said Johnny came the next day to investigate a water problem in the attic, diagnosed it in 15 minutes and recommended a plumber because it was not a roof issue. A 2024 customer said Jhonny's team did a complete rip and replace of shingle and flat roofs and resided the house with CertainTeed Cedar Impressions.

The company also builds decks and does gutters. A 2024 customer described a large deck project connecting the house and pool. A 2025 customer said their existing deck was replaced and expanded to double its size. A 2025 customer said the company replaced the gutters on the house and added gutter guards.

A 2025 customer said the company did not clean up after a roof job, broke their ventilation system and had not responded. A 2026 customer said the contractor missed deadlines, left areas unfinished, and the roofing work showed visible issues that needed additional repairs soon after completion.

Connecticut lists its home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0670902, as active, held by Trusted General Contractor LLC.

**Strengths:**
- One-day roof replacement — a 2025 customer said the roof was replaced in one day
- An honest roof estimate — a recent customer was not pushed into a whole new roof
- A doubled deck — a 2025 customer said their deck was expanded to double size

**Concerns:**
- A broken vent — a 2025 customer said a roof job broke their ventilation system
- Unfinished roofing work — a 2026 customer said it needed additional repairs after completion
