It holds 4.7★ from 348 Google ratings. The recent Google reviews talk about the crews by name. A September 2026 customer whose mother-in-law moved said the team "even had to move a piano and they got it done." A January 2026 review describes a move from New London to Lisbon where the crew got a bed and furnishings up a narrow chimney staircase, the only way to the second floor. Another January 2026 customer had two oversized items picked up from self storage in Connecticut, delivered to the Boston area, and two more delivered to Cape Cod, all in one day. In a February 2026 review, the final bill came in within the estimate rather than at the top of the range, and the crew handled narrow snow paths the day after a storm. A September 2026 customer wrote that moving from an old house to a new one cost under $2000. The complaints are about money and handling. In a January 2026 Google review, a customer who praised the crew said the company added fees, including for using a credit card and for boxes, and called on move day with an $800-1000 increase tied to a one-hour delay; the crew was directed not to offload until the new agreement was signed. An October 2025 review reports damaged floors and walls, two large items left unpacked, an offer to fix it for an additional charge, and a $1700 bill for a two-person crew for 4 hours. BBB gives the company an A- and lists complaints against it. In a 2024 r/Connecticut thread asking about central Connecticut movers, commenters recommended Two Brothers. The company's website lists USDOT# 3337385, says it is insured, offers free estimates and names a service area of Fairfield, Hartford, Litchfield, Middlesex, New Haven, New London, Tolland and Windham counties. **Strengths:** - Hard-access moves — piano and narrow chimney staircase handled in 2026 - Multi-stop moves — 2026 review: Connecticut to Boston to Cape Cod in a day - Named crews — 2026 Google reviewers credit crew members by name **Concerns:** - Move-day fees — January 2026 review: $800-1000 increase after a one-hour delay - Damage claim — October 2025 review cites damaged floors and walls ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - 4.7★ from 348 Google ratings _(confidence: high)_ - [Google](https://www.google.com/maps/search/?api=1&query=TWO%20BROTHERS%20MOVING&query_place_id=ChIJL8NgwINL5okRknMsx9ACt1k) — “Google: 4.7★ from 348 ratings” - Moved a piano for a customer's mother-in-law, per a September 2026 review _(confidence: medium)_ - [Google Reviews](https://www.google.com/maps/reviews/data=!4m8!14m7!1m6!2m5!1sCi9DQUlRQUNvZENodHljRjlvT2s1cE0yOXZSVWR6UlV4bGVqQTVWUzFJZWpaNFJuYxAB!2m1!1s0x0:0x59b702d0c72c7392!3m1!1s2@1:CAIQACodChtycF9oOk5pM29vRUdzRUxlejA5VS1IejZ4Rnc%7C%7C?hl=en-US) — “5★ The team from Two Brothers moved my mother in law today and they were exceptional.
