## The honest read

US Carting & Junk describes itself as five trucks and 104 dumpsters out of a single Greenwich depot, handling roll-offs, bags, full-service hauling, clean-outs and outbuilding demo off one phone line. The company says it has been in business five years, and the service area it lists includes Greenwich, Stamford, Norwalk, Westport, Bridgeport, Ridgefield and Bethel. On Google it holds 4.9 stars from 34 ratings.

In a 2022 Google review, a customer who had been piling up construction debris since October said Paul, the owner, reached out an hour after the web form went in and came by the next day. That 2022 customer said Paul took half of it away on the spot for a very reasonable fee and texted several times with his ETA. In the same 2022 review, Paul said dumping the leftover masonry would cost more, and he followed up to help figure out how to get the concrete carted.

A 2022 customer said Paul was quick to respond, helped remove furniture from their apartment and was flexible with their schedule. A 2023 customer said removal of yard debris was scheduled within one day. A 2022 customer said Paul showed up on time on a weekend and picked up everything they needed hauled away. A 2022 reviewer who described themselves as a contractor in Fairfield County said they had been working with Paul for five years.

**Strengths:**
- A quick response — a 2022 customer said the owner reached out an hour later
- Next-day scheduling — a 2023 customer said yard debris removal was scheduled within one day
- A weekend pickup — a 2022 customer said Paul showed up on time on a weekend

**Concerns:**
- Masonry disposal cost — a 2022 customer was told masonry would cost more to dump
