It lists Merrimack and Deerfield as its service area. Nick Van Riper designed and built an entry room for one customer, then an adjacent patio and two gardens, working with them on the design plans. That customer said he brought a knowledge of plants native to New England into the gardens. Nick also helped build a porch for a customer who said he designed and put in the artistic details. Nick built a dry-stacked retaining wall for a dahlia bed, and that customer said it has held up with no issues for over two years. For a rental property, Nick replaced a rotting railroad-tie retaining wall with a concrete block wall, cleared away the construction debris and graded the soil around it, that customer wrote. A 20-plus-year-old granite stair walkway that was coming apart was reset using all its existing materials, with an edge barrier on both sides and every paver cleaned. Two years later, that customer wrote, it is still level and tight. One yard got a new fence, a patio, a garden and raised vegetable beds; the customer said he took the time to talk through ideas and knew which native plants would work for their yard. **Strengths:** - Retaining walls — a dry-stacked wall and a concrete block wall - A walkway that held — still level and tight two years after the reset - Native plant knowledge — a customer said he knew what suited their yard - Design input — worked with a customer on all the design plans ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - Says it designs and builds patios, porches, paths, gardens and drainage _(confidence: medium)_ - [Official Website](http://vanriperlandhome.com) — “About (self-reported, verbatim): We design and build outdoor spaces that make it easier to get outside and enjoy your land — patios, porches…” - Lists Merrimack and Deerfield as its service area _(confidence: medium)_ - [Official Website](http://vanriperlandhome.com) — “Stated service area (self-reported): Merrimack, Deerfield” - Nick Van Riper designed and built an entry room, an adjacent patio and two gardens for one customer _(confidence: high)_ - [Google Reviews](https://www.google.com/maps/reviews/data=!4m8!14m7!1m6!2m5!1sCi9DQUlRQUNvZENodHljRjlvT2s5eGVtWlBVbVZrYW1jNFVFRXlUMFZmWWxFM2RuYxAB!2m1!1s0x0:0xec67081ead8ab2f8!3m1!1s2@1:CAIQACodChtycF9oOk9xemZPUmVkamc4UEEyT0VfYlE3dnc%7C%7C?hl=en-US) — “5★ Nick Van Riper designed and built an entry room to our house and followed this work by building an adjacent patio and two gardens.
