Its website lists local and long-distance moving, packing, storage, senior relocation and clean-out services, and names a service area that includes Brookfield, Danbury, New Fairfield, Stamford and New Haven. A 2025 customer said Mike handled the logistics and paperwork with their co-op so that everything was approved in one day, and that Roberto and his crew picked up items from two different storage locations. A 2025 reviewer said everything was carefully wrapped on a move from one state to another, with four movers on the job. A 2025 customer who booked a local move said they got a "not to exceed" quote that was honored, even though the process took slightly longer than estimated. A 2025 customer who moved a daughter from Baltimore to CT said items went to a home and a storage shed and everything arrived with no damage. In 2023, a customer moving belongings into a storage unit said the movers helped weed out what to keep, pack and store over 7+ hours of heavy labor. A 2022 customer said they had used Vanguard three separate times and found it reasonably priced. A 2024 customer called the move the worst experience they had had: the truck flipped over on Rt9 after being packed. That 2024 customer also said the movers didn't speak English and couldn't read the room labels taped to each box, and that they spent much time switching boxes from one place to another. **Strengths:** - Not-to-exceed quote — a 2025 customer said the quote on a local move was honored - Careful wrapping — a 2025 reviewer said everything was carefully wrapped - Storage-unit move — a 2023 customer said they helped sort what to keep **Concerns:** - Truck accident — a 2024 customer said the packed truck flipped over on Rt9 - Box labels ignored — a 2024 customer said movers couldn't read the room labels ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - Says it has been in business for 10 years _(confidence: medium)_ - [Official Website](https://vmslct.com) — “Self-reported 10 years in business” - Website lists local and long-distance moving, packing, storage, senior relocation and clean-out services _(confidence: high)_ - [Official Website](https://vmslct.com) — “About (self-reported, verbatim): Services Local Moving Long Distance Moving Packing Services Storage Services Senior Relocation Services Int…” - A 2025 customer said a "not to exceed" quote on a local move was honored _(confidence: medium)_ - [Google Reviews](https://www.google.com/maps/reviews/data=!4m8!14m7!1m6!2m5!1sCi9DQUlRQUNvZENodHljRjlvT2xwbFNXVnFXRzlmTXpOMWRIQlpXWFYyWTJkWmMwRRAB!2m1!1s0x0:0x4b1d3bc4e92ab34f!3m1!1s2@1:CAIQACodChtycF9oOlplSWVqWG9fMzN1dHBZWXV2Y2dZc0E%7C%7C?hl=en-US) — “5★ We used Vanguard for a local move and I couldn't be happier with how it went.
