## The honest read

A house built in 1853, where nothing is level: a recent Google customer said the guys leveled and laid a new living room floor there, and called it an easy and painless process.

Vee Jay Floor Covering describes itself as a family-owned flooring contractor and showroom serving the Greenville, RI area since 1962, with a 5,500-square-foot showroom, and says it has 64 years in business. A local news site, valleybreeze.com, has named Joyce Scopelliti as a co-owner of Vee Jay Floor Covering in Greenville.

A 2025 customer said they had old basement carpet removed and re-installed, and recommended Vee Jays. A 2023 customer said a rug was installed in the basement and on the stairs. That 2023 customer wrote that they removed the stair rug a few days before installing the new one so the stair baseboards could be painted.

**Strengths:**
- An 1853 house — a recent customer said they leveled and laid the floor
- Basement carpet — a 2025 customer had old carpet removed and re-installed
- Stair rug timing — a 2023 customer said it came out early for painting
