VP Asphalt Paving describes itself on its website as a family-owned paving company doing residential and commercial driveway work, and it lists a service area that runs through Waterbury, Naugatuck, Southbury, Oxford and Prospect. A recent Google customer in Prospect, CT got four estimates and said Vic was the only contractor who explained that a drainage and settling issue under the old pavement had to be corrected before anything new went down. That customer said the crew showed up on time, handled the drainage correction, laid a compacted gravel base and finished with a clean asphalt surface, at a price that was not the lowest they received but was competitive.

A recent customer with a driveway running about 150 feet downhill said two other contractors had recommended repaving the whole thing. Vick Pagona walked its full length and said the pavement itself was still sound and the low end needed some patching, not a new driveway. The crew filled a bit over sixty feet of crack, then came back after a dry stretch for the patch and two coats of sealer. That customer said they would not coat over anything damp, even when rain pushed the job back a few days, and that Vick said on day one the bottom end would still hold water because of the grade of the land.

When mechanical difficulties kept the company from taking one recent customer's job, that customer said it referred them to a company that could.

In a 2025 review, a customer in the Southford section of Southbury said VP Asphalt did drainage work, excavation, paving and driveway sealing on the property. A 2026 Reddit commenter in New Haven County wrote that VP Asphalt Paving sealed the cracks and sealcoated their driveway, and that the price was very reasonable.
