## The honest read

W&DD Home Improvement's website pitches roof and siding work handled through homeowners' insurance claims, from inspection to installation, and lists a service area of Danbury, Bethel, Newtown, Ridgefield, Brookfield, New Fairfield, Sherman and Redding. On its BBB profile, the company describes interior and exterior renovations, including bathroom and kitchen remodels, roofing, siding and flooring. A recent customer said W&DD repaired a bay window soffit after a bee infestation; the owner assessed it, recommended the repair and explained the likely cause of the damage that drew the bees.

It holds 4.8 stars from 10 Google ratings and 4.4 stars from 7 Thumbtack ratings, and its BBB grade is A. A recent customer praised their work on a deck. A recent Google reviewer said the team communicated clearly and completed a home improvement project on time. A recent customer called them prompt, affordable and communicative. A 2026 Thumbtack customer said they replaced the kitchen cabinets and were punctual and clean.

A recent Thumbtack customer gave two stars after a door installation. That customer said the contractor did not call about vehicle trouble until the customer called an hour and a half to two hours past the agreed time, charged an extra $150 to adjust the doors to the jambs, and never sent a receipt despite multiple texts. The same customer said some of the doors are too small and were not sanded where they caught.

Connecticut lists its home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0703914, as active, held by W&DD Home Improvement LLC.

**Strengths:**
