## The honest read

Ward Heating and Cooling is an Oxford heating and air conditioning contractor whose website names a service area of Oxford, Seymour, Middlebury, Woodbury, Southbury, Monroe and Newtown. A 2026 customer said Tom came to their house for the quote, the work was done efficiently with no mess, and the house now feels warm in all parts after a boiler and hot water heater job.

A 2025 customer wrote that the company came out the same night their AC stopped, found the furnace blower motor had failed, and returned at 9 pm to fix it once the backordered motor arrived. A 2024 customer said the company came out on a Sunday after black smoke began billowing into the basement following another contractor's service on their oil furnace, and that the technician explained what he was doing to fix it. A 2024 reviewer said Tom came over within 20 minutes and got their boiler working again. A 2024 customer said they had just replaced a furnace and oil tank and installed central AC with the company. A 2024 customer whose hot water went out on a Friday night said the company came out the next day. A 2023 reviewer said Tom installed two mini split systems and a ductless AC system in their home.

A 2023 customer said the crew serviced their heat pump but never sent a quote for other work they had requested.

Google shows 4.9 stars from 13 ratings.

It holds an active Connecticut B1 heating and cooling contractor licence, HTG.0405531-B1, under Thomas M Ward.

**Strengths:**
- A late AC repair — a 2025 customer said they came once the motor arrived
- A quick boiler visit — a 2024 reviewer said Tom came within 20 minutes
- A mini split install — a 2023 reviewer said Tom installed two systems

**Concerns:**
- A missing quote — a 2023 customer never received one for other work
