Marcus is the name that keeps turning up in Water Heater Genies' reviews. In the autumn of 2023 a run of customers described the same afternoon: a tank leaking in the morning, a plumber out the same day, a new heater in within a couple of hours and the basement floor swept before he left.

One landlord wrote in 2023 that Marcus had been his plumber for five years and had put in at least ten water heaters across three properties, going same day so tenants never ended up in a hotel. Another 2023 customer said the quote beat three others and the work was finished that week. Several of those accounts are tankless conversions, and two describe boiler work — a combi unit that runs both the heat and the hot water.
