Rossi Construction Systems is a West Roxbury general contractor that says it's been doing residential work under Wellington Rossi's name since 1999. It's a small, owner-run shop covering West Roxbury, Boston, Brookline, and a string of nearby towns from Chestnut Hill to Norwood, handling everyday remodeling, home repair, and masonry alongside the carpentry projects it's built its name on. The one detailed account on file is a striking one: in a 2021 review, a homeowner describes hiring Rossi to tear out and rebuild the front and back porches on both floors of a century-old two-family home, after interviewing several contractors for a project that size. The review calls out staying within budget and finishing on the promised timeline, with results the owner was happy with. Beyond that single review, most of what's known comes from directories: BuildZoom shows 247 projects associated with the business, and the Better Business Bureau lists it as an A+ building contractor, though not BBB-accredited. Its Massachusetts construction supervisor license is active and verified with the state; its separate Home Improvement Contractor registration, though, comes back expired on the same check — worth asking about before signing anything that falls under HIC rules. With only one written customer account to go on, it's worth asking for references for a project close to what you're planning. The porch rebuild shows real comfort with big structural jobs on older homes, but there isn't much else on file to confirm how that holds up across smaller or more recent work. **Strengths:** - Porch reconstruction — 2021 review praised budget and schedule - Active supervisor license — verified active by the state registry - A+ BBB rating — listed as a building contractor **Concerns:** - HIC registration expired — state registry lists it as expired - Limited review history — only one customer account on file ## Claims & citations Every claim below is backed by real evidence rows — uncited claims are dropped in code before publication. - Its Massachusetts construction supervisor license is active, verified against the state registry. _(confidence: high)_ - [State License Registry](https://madpl.mylicense.com/Verification/) — “MA csl license CS-068871 registry-verified active — registry holder of record: Wellington G Rossi” - Its Massachusetts Home Improvement Contractor registration shows as expired in the state registry. _(confidence: high)_ - [State License Registry](https://contractorhub.mass.gov/s/hic-contractor-search) — “MA hic license 113499 registry-verified expired — registry holder of record: WELLINGTON G.
